Accessibility
Last updated September 15, 2026
Kika Flowers wants every buyer to be able to use this site, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced-motion settings.
What we have done
- The site is built with semantic HTML and labelled form fields, so screen readers can announce structure and inputs correctly.
- Every interactive element is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline. Dialogs trap focus while open and return it on close.
- Text and interface colours were chosen to hold contrast against their backgrounds.
- All animation, including the moving hero image and scroll reveals, is disabled automatically for anyone whose device requests reduced motion.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- The layout reflows to a single column on small screens and supports browser zoom without horizontal scrolling.
Where we know we fall short
[Update this honestly once the site has been tested with a real screen reader.] We have not yet had the site audited against WCAG 2.2 AA by a third party.
